These door handles are the newest model from Chevalier LTD, and include the following improvements over previous generation, including the door handles provided by Fisker Inc. in fulfillment of NHTSA recall orders: 

• Eliminates the vehicle issue of getting locked inside - Improved vehicle safety from entrapment by integrating a compensatory mechanism to eliminate the safety critical issue in the Door Latch. This mechanism prevents the latch from getting stuck when unlocking and blocking both the Interior and Exterior Handles from operating.
• Improved weathering & UV resistance - Upgraded illuminated white strip which offers the highest level of resistance to UV and cationic elements exposure and much higher scratch resistance. This ensures the white strip will not degrade for the life of the vehicle.
• Improved performance and noise - The Power Actuator has been further developed to improve performance with better efficiency, consistency and reduced noise.
• Eliminates the issue where handles can get stuck deployed - Handles are recall compliant as the out of spec component which caused them to remain deployed when the vehicle is locked has been resolved. In addition, all handles undergo factory pre-testing using the same Chevalier inspection tool currently being used for the purpose of the Handle Recall.

This kit is configured for left-hand drive configurations and includes:

Installation
Assembly is according to the Fisker Service Manual. The GEN2A handle does not require any diagnostic tools (i.e. FAST, OFT etc.) to sync the Driver Door Handle with the vehicle Access Control System. The handle will automatically sync with the PKC module once connected and is fully compatible with all PKC software versions.
